As you can see, it was a pretty good time. We saw some icky little critters and learned some crazy stuff: did you know that Harrison Ford is actually deathly afraid of snakes? In the Indiana Jones movie where he falls into a pit of snakes, he's actually falling into a pit of legless lizards! You can tell the difference because snakes don't have eyelids or ear holes and these legless lizards do.
Also, this little guy, called the axolotl is a pretty neat amphibian. It turns out that he can regenerate parts of his body and even his brain and spine! We thought that was cool.
And how cute is the tree frog? I think he's poisonous (one of him can kill 10 humans-sweet.) but he's definitely cute from the other side of the glass!
We stayed for a show where they fed an alligator turtle.
We left Reptiland en route to the Grand Canyon and made a stop by the Wellsboro Diner. Alas, it wasn't so accessible but we found food anyway. The Canyon was really pretty and I'm glad we stopped by to see it. You can imagine how pretty it is at the peak of Fall with all the leaves still on the trees. We're going to come back someday to see it :)
I tried to be artistic. I'm working on it...
And Josh being artistic...
Now we're in New York! Don't worry, Josh took it while i drove. No dangerous moving violations occurred to get this shot. We drove so long through a very un-inhabited portion of PA that as soon as we hit civilization in NY, we stopped for a bathroom at Walmart. It was then that I realized that I left some of Josh's clothes on top of the trailer at the last stop we made and forgot to put them in the truck before driving away....it's only day 2 and we're already short some clothes! Oops :/
We're headed to the Corning Glass Museum tomorrow to hopefully learn how to blow our own glass!
